dragging metal noise.

when driving at SLOW speeds, *sometimes* i hear a dragging metal noise. when i look under the car, when i hear the sound, there is nothing actually dragging. it sounds like its coming from the driver side rear wheel. I have an 86 firebird 305 LG4, drums in the back, and disks in the front. everything on the suspension is stock. any idea what this could be?

could be lots of things, put it up on stands, and try turning a the wheels by hadn, listen to see if you hear things scraping, might be a brake show touching the drum, or something in the rear end, like a bad bearing. i would guess that it is something along those lines, but with the engine off, and turning the wheels, you should able listen and try to pin-point it.
