Ticking noise

when i driving theres a ticking noise from the rear driver side. the noise will stop when the brakes are applied but the ticking is obnoxious and makes my car sound terrible. its to the point where i drive with the windows up just to not have to hear it. any ideas boys and girls?

It's probably your rear brake pad bouncing around. Mine did the same thing, the inner pad was tapping the caliper. Remove your wheel, release the parking brake and see if you can move the pads around with your hand. If it's indeed your pads, let me know and I'll PM you with a real cheap fix that I did.

This may sound stupid, but check the tire for a nail or something in it.

i've had rocks that got stuck in the tread create a pretty annoying ticking noise.
