Anybody have an experience with these tires ? They are Z rated, very inexpensive and made by falken.

well they are all season so do not expect them to perform as dedicated Z performance tires would.

i would like to know more about the Falken Ziex ZE-512 Z rated ones.

Well I don't know much about the 512's, but I can tell you a thing or 2 about the 502's that they're meant to replace. I just took a set of 502's off my car, and they were very good tires. Traction was great when it was dry out and good in wet weather (something I can't say for the Yoko's or Cooper Cobra's that I had before them) and they also held very well in the corners.

The 512's are supposed to be the updated version of the 502's, with newer rubber compound technology and a less attractive (IMHO) tread pattern. The problem I ran into was finding a set, as none of the tire stores in my area carry Falken anymore. That's the main reason I decided to try out a set of Kuhmo 712's this time around.

According to the same website, those are an all-season tire as well. I always thought that any D.O.T. approved street tire needed to be all-season (M+S) rated.
