I took my car out for the first time the other day, and as i went over some speed bumps i heard a lot of sqeeks and like shifting from the rear, I have no SFC's. Do you think its just the ol uni-Body being weird, Think some SFC's could help??

And if so.. how much $$ am i looking at?

Thanks

Just the nature of the aging beast. You really should consider sfcs. They will help in the aging process and you will notice the difference. Should be #1 mod. Cant tell you about the price----im in Australia, but I do have sfcs.

SFCs definitely help a lot. They aren't a cure-all, but they will get rid of a ton of annoying squeaks and rattles. Do that first.

After that, you'll probably have to do some other things to really get rid of all the noise. Adjust your t-tops if you have them, get new door hinges, and adjust the rear hatch all come to mind. After that, it's probably aging suspension and steering parts. You'll do a lot of hunting in the interior for loose parts as well. My car still makes a racket going over bumps, but it was definitely a lot worse before having SFCs and hunting down troublesome parts.

In my case sfc's and over 1000€ spent on body repairs stopped squeeks. It looked like there was just a slightly surface rust but so thats where that 1000€ went

The rear hatch is probably one of the bigger things to look at, shes pretty worn out all over. The suspension was COMPLETELY replaced when the disk brakes were put on. I think shes a little loose in the rear, the guy before me took out some of the panels to add in a sub box. so after i removed the old box (what a piece of junk) i noticed im missing some stuff, no big deal tho, just another thing to take care of. In any case I get paid in 2 days, perhaps I'll keep some aside for it
