subframe connectors

hey guys, i have a set of jegster subframe connectors i want to put into my 84 firebird. I got these ones becuase they say they will clear the stock exhaust.
My qurstion is , can this be done by just putting the car up on jackstands and doing it the way the directions suggest. OR do oyu need to do it on a lift. MY friend who will prob be my second set of hands when doing this says that if you do it on jack stands you can accidently put them in missaligned. IF this happens hes saying that they will bend my unibody instead of helping it. IS this true and if so how easily is it to screw up the alignment.
All suggestions and tipps welcome , i would like to do this tomorrow on my day off. thanks agian guys

Your friend is not bull****. You need to have suspension loaded when you install sfc's. Othervise they'll be misaligned.

we always did them on a drive on alignment lift, as said above suspension should be loaded, as if the car was on level ground.

Drive the front on ramps, and jack the rear up and put stands under the axles.
