Front Struts

I had a realy bad clunking noise coming from the front of the car for a while now. Today I was finaly able to take the wheel off and look at it. My dad and I took the front right strut off and it sunk down so we called up advance auto and opted for the cheep stock struts and replaced the front ones. They made a lot of difference. no more clunking and a lot less bouncing over bumps. I think I will have to get the rear ones replaced soon! Taking the car in for an allignment check tomrow too.

yeah i was suprised at my car still had the stock shocks and struts and the car still handled good, when i took them out they were all rusty and basically shot to heck, one of the front struts was even leaking alittle.

I'm still running the factory shocks on my '86. They are still good, and the car still handles like it's on rails. It's a pain to jack up because of the IROC Z28 suspension package, but it sure does carve the corners.
