whats this do??

does this coil for the airbag in the steering coulmn do any thing else?

if not is it safe to throw it out since I disconnected all the air bag stuff when I replaced my steering wheel?

I believe thats all it does, is for the airbag, when i took mine off, i took that out as well, everything still seems fine.

i bieleve all it does is allow the electrical connection to the airbag while you spin the wheel around and nothing else.

its for the airbag. no you dont need it.

I just replaced one on a truck. It allows an electrical connection while you spin the wheel. You don't need it if your tossing the air bag
