Not a stupid question, but all the info you need is a few keystrokes away. Do a search for Weight Jacks to get the full details. Here's the quick and dirty ... weight jacks are spring pertches. They are installed below the front and rear spring, and have an adjustment sleeve (or pertch) that can be adjusted up and down. They were designed for cornerweighting your car which is for racing only, but you can also use them effectively on the street to control your ride height. They require custom length springs unless you want your car to look like a 4x4.
