Are '98+ LS1 rear brakes the same as C5 rear brakes?
I have the offer for a complete set of front and rear C5 brakes from a 2100 mile 2002 C5 Corvette for a good deal. I only intended to get the fronts, but heard a rumor that the rears are the same as C5 brakes. However, I know the C5's use a transaxle instead of the 'conventional' V8 powertrain and rear axle the the F-cars use. so are the brakes the same?

Well I'm most concerned about fitment...I was also told that they were the same, but they might mount different which is why I want to know. Have a '95 disc rearend I'm planning on mounting these on...

No. The caliper is pretty much the same but the e-brake stuff is all wrong, not worth the time to mess with IMO. I'd just mess with the right parts, it'll save you time.
