18x9.5 tires

hey guys what tired do you recomend for my 91 RS. I want to order the Vortec Z wheels and they only come in the 9.5 wide rim in the 18's. I think it needs a 5.5 backspacing? I want the widest possible tire in the rear. and the best profile height for handling. also what brands do you recomend for all around perfomance, such as a little grippy, good for handling, and good for high speed.

cheers

I'm running 275/35/18's on my 18x9.5 Boyds. Just a FYI, Performance Wheel Outlet does not make the 18x9.5 Vortech Z's to fit the fronts of a 3rd gen. So the biggest you can go is 17x8.5 fronts, 18x9.5 rears (at least thats what they told me when I ordered a set of 18x9.5 Vortech Z's). As for tires, all depends on what you want. I wanted the best wet and dry traction, so I got Potenza S-03's. There are a few other tires in the 'top of the line' wet and dry category like the KDW's. Or if you just want good dry traction try the Eagle F1's or KD's.
