Identify brakes on a 9 Bolt rear

I picked up an 89 9 bolt posi rear that had disc brakes. But the calipers and rotors are missing. How can I tell if the backing plates on this thing are for PBR or not? And to complicate things, I don't have a camera to share pics of what I'm talking about. Obviously, I want to set this thing up with the correct set of brakes when it goes in. If it's any help it's got 2.77 gears.

real easy...... 88 and older the brakes will bolt on opposites. This is to say, the passenger brake will be mounted on the front, and driver side on the back . If the rear is 89 only, it will have both backing plates with mount holes to the back. simple

Here's a shot of my '89 2.77 9 bolt. This is one style of PBR backing plates. There's another that looks closer to the slightly curved 10 bolt plates.

Thanks a lot guys. I've always depended on the kindness of strangers!

So, now that I know what I'm looking at. What do I look for. What are your suggestions for hardware? (rotors, calipers, e-brake cable...)

Keep in mind that I don't have the cash to step up to the Baer or SSBC quality and the bone yards in MN aren't that f-body rich. What are the interchangable parts from other cars?

Are the parts from the local Auto Zone acceptable?

Thanks again guys!

I got a set of Bendix slotted and cross-drilled rotors (all 4) for $240. BIG improvement. www.irotors.com
