V6 springs with a v8 engine?
Well, I lowered the car the other day (off the jack that is) with tranny and engine hooked up and the car kinda has a drag stance to it now. The front end is a bit lower, not extreme, but definatley noticable. I took it around the block and it did not bottom out on the bottomless pit dips around here.
I was just curious if this will effect my handling around turns or long term wear on the suspension? I purchased a Spohn wonderbar and tourque arm to help out a bit and will soon get some LCA's and Relocation brackets. Is this gonna wear down the suspension? I know its great for straight-a-way traction, but what about everything else? Thanks.

my car still has the v6 springs up front.
i don't care for how it handles at all.
i'm going to be switching to eibach sportlines at all four corners, and kyb gr-2 shocks and struts. i'm also adding a set of swaybars from an 89 formula. 36 front, 24 rear. also adding a factory wonderbar from a friend's 89 iroc that was stolen last year.

That's the exact set up on my Z right now, with the exception of a 22 rear bar. Added BMR LCA's and Panhard. Great stance, handles like dream, good ride too...Your gonna dig it!!

The only time I bottom out is over some nasty *** train tracks down the street that the city have yet to level off, and only if I'am going too fast over em. Other than that I've had no problems. Again this combination has been a good compromise of handling and ride. I had a set of Dropzone springs on previously and they were scary stiff...I've always liked Eibach's- had Prolines on my RS vert for years..never any issues.

... anyways as if the cool raked stance isn't worth the possible bottoming out anywyas
(translation: I can't afford new springs.)
For cornering I think there's good and bad in it: the centre of gravity is moved closer to your front wheels, which is hooked up closer to the ground, which implies better traction in the front, but it also has the effect of imbalancing your wieght even further and taking load off the rear wheels. Which means you could through the frount around corners more easily, but the the rear would be all over the place. Which could also mess your braking a bit, and increase the wear of front brake components
Also it greatly increases the chances of your front springs failure, in that they're operating in a constant load, cauing them to be under a greater amount of stress under normal driving.
- though this is all speculation - I doubt that the weight difference would drastic enough to give you an overall effect that extreme, its more likely you'd experience a toned down version of some of that.

what also doesn't help is the swaybar setup on my car...... 27mm front, and NO rear swaybar at all.
forgot to mention in the previous post that i'm adding spohn lcas and panhard bar in the rear as well. hopefully it handles well.
