ok i bought 16/8 gta rims a while ago, and i painted them black instead of gold to go on my red 1989 formula firebird... i just wanted to know if i ordered a size that wont rub the wheel well, and will look even. even meaning backs having a bigger sidewall than the fronts....

front tires: 245/50/16

back tires: 255/50/16

245/50/16 is the stock size, so youre good to go. 255s will be fine in the back too

 

yeah thats what i thought... i just wanted to make sure that the 255/50/16's in the back will have a the same or bigger sidewall than the ones in the front... i dont want a smaller sidewall in the back lol. when i bought the tires i didnt know that it was a ratio... so i'm just making sure

 

The sidewall will obviously be bigger in the rear. 255s will rub in the front, I'm not sure what's required for them to fit on 16 inch wheels.

 

oh alright, thanks man... i guess i'm good to go. i shoudl get teh tires in tomorrow, so i'll mount them on the rims and take some pix
