New Shocks

Hey guys, i just bought new moog springs and i need to mate them with some good shocks all around. I don't want to spend 500+ bucks on shocks, but i want good shocks nonetheless. I live in nyc so the potholes and screwed up roads are a nightmare to drive on. I also occasionally like to 'road race' on the highways so i want something that will handle very nicely as well as take the harsh nyc roads. Are kyb's ok? I know that i should probably be looking at Koni or Bilstein, but they are out of my budget currently. But i don't want to be forced to going to pep boys and picking up some overpriced and crappy monroe sensatracs. Thanks for any advice.

I just picked up a brand new set of KYB AGX's off eBay for $413 including CA sales tax and shipping.

The AGX's offer ride control adjustment. You can set them soft for daily driving and then stiffer for road race use. The rears have 8 settings and the fronts have 4.

If that's still too much for your budget, the KYB GR2 struts and Gas-A-Just shocks are a good basic bang for the buck performance set-up. These will run you around $150 for all four corners.
