Torque Arm Help!
OK heres my problem: I have a 700R4 I just pulled from an 85 Camaro w/305. I need to put this transmission into my 82 T-Top Camaro with a 305. The T-top Camaro however has a bad tranny, a 200 Metric. My question is, can i simply reuse the torque arm in the T-Top Camaro with the 200 Metric or do I need to pull the torque arm out of the 85 w/700R4? The reason I ask is because of their tailshaft differance. I wasnt sure if this is a suspension or drivetrain question but any immediate help will be greatly appreciated. thank you.

You need the '85 torque arm, driveshaft, and crossmember - they're all shorter than the '82. And shifter.
You'll also need to drill two holes for the crossmember. The front holes of the crossmember will line up with the old back crossmember mount holes, but there won't be anything for the back two. After you drill them, you'll need to get a nut & washer up inside the frame member.
