Brakes Suck!! Rear Swap Has Been A Pain!!
yes as u can tell by the title.... i absolutly hate brakes... especially the lines... listen to my problem maybe u can help.... my brake lines are TIGHT into the porportiong valve and they still seem to leak some where.. the brakes work fine but i see smoke coming from the engine and i pop the hood and its wet on the exhaust manifold with smoke coming off not that bad though .. looks like its being sprayed around near the resovoiur and the porportiong valve... is there some kind of sealant i can put around the ends of the brake lines? kus im soo sick of the brakes right now... im spending more money on these then i ever wanted too.... this peg-leg drum to 3.27 borg warner posi disc swap was nuthing but head aches. also i just put new calipers on today and one side the pads are loose but the other side seems tight?? ive been trying to avoid it but im thinking about taking it to a shop to have them put it up on the lift and check out all my problems... also do our cars make clunking noises easily when they go over bumps in the rear somewhere? kus that is happening but everthing seems TIGHT... im about to shoot myself.. lol ... any suggestions? advice? knowledge or info? thanx alot guys you all rock

Find your leak first!!Have some one pump your breaks while the motor is running while the hood is up and watch for the fluid to come out it should be easily noticed if its getting every where..
Use a large crescent wrench to hold the proportioning valve while you tighten the fittings with a line wrench as tight a possible..
make sure to bleed the system after you found the leak, that leak explains why you having having problems with one side not getting enough pressure to keep the caliper out against the disk.
The clunking or clattering sound is probably coming from the pads in the rear not having good pressure wich will leave them out of adjustment. Take this repair seriouse because brakes on your car going out can cost someone there life.. you never know...
