Fear of Tire Blowing Out

Okay, so my car is way low. Thats not necessarily the problem. On the passenger side, my front tire rubs the upper portion of the wheel well when I hit bumps or grooves or anything. The driver side doesn't react the same way, don't ask why. Springs and spacers are all good. Well, I accept this. However, because of the tire coming up and hitting, it has burned out the protective plastic that lines the wheel well. So now when it hits, it is hitting the wheel well and the way the body is cut, its like a smooth flat edge of sheet metal and it is cutting a groove in the sidewall. So much so that pieces of the tire are breaking off.
Rather than removing the lowering kit, rather than going with a lower profile tire, does anyone have any suggestions?

Carefully roll the sharp edges with a hammer or a air hammer to make them all smooth. You'll have to bend the sharp edge flat against the back face of the fender. It sounds like it could be a real bitch, but it goes pretty easy. Go slow and make sure you dont tweak the fender. Also, while you are in there, take the plastic inner liner out, and fold the pinch weld on the inner structure flat too. I used a 4 pound sledge hammer to do both areas on mine, and trust me, mine is way down in the weeds.

Thanks Much

I'll be sure to try that, or since I'm going to my mechanics tomorrow, I'll get his body guy to have a look and do it up. I'll let you know how it goes.
