my new c4 upgrade, cant justify $85 for pads!!!

well im sick of not being able to stop so i decided to upgrade to the c4's 12" rotors and 2 piston pbr calipers. after some extensive researching ive found that bendix makes some good pads but my advance retailer sells them for $85 just for the fronts!!! after spending some money on the brakes themselves i just cant justify $85 for pads. are these worth it or sould i look elsewhere. whats everyones recomendations, i need something thats stops good cold with no fade. brake dust comes last

$85 isn't expensive. Every pad will eventually fade if you get it hot enough. I assume you dont want it to fade on the street as opposed to racing? Most street pads will be fine, except for El Cheapos. I recommend Hawks HPS.

well 85 isnt REALLY expensive but after knowing there are $40 lifetime pads out there i took a step back and thought to myself what would be a more practical option. if my local advance auto parts store that sells bendix with a lifetime warranty then ill go for them but if not i need to rethink my options. i will hopefully eventully hit the autocross (SCCA) circut up but not until i get some new wheels.

anyone know if the bendix pads have a ifetime warranty from advance?

your wasting your time putting crap pads in .Ive tried all sorts.PFC were the best for repeated stopping but needed to get hot to work at their best,so not the best around town.EBC Greenstuff have been great for everyday driving and ive only noticed a small amount of fade when driving hard.
Looking to try Scandinavian Brake Systems pads next time as Baer thinks they are the best.

What he said. I love my EBCs for their grip but hate them for their dusting...I think it's waaayyy too much. I'll go with different pads next time.

Strange you mention the dust.Mine dont leave anything on my rims yet my mate has them on his vette and his rims are always filthy. It depends on the pattern of the rim i think

i dont konw what pads they put on when i first got my brakes done but they dust even after a short trip to the store. no hard braking or anything and i have to wipe down my rims. i say i dont mind dust but the more i think about it i really hate cleaning my PITA rims
