I've read anywhere that chromoly is twice to four times as strong as regular mild steel. Plus it has a much better memory then steel as well. Not to mention heat formed so the chromoly properly holds it's shape. Spohn's front bars is roughly 2 3/4 mm smaller then the largest and best stock one, but is solid in comparison and much much stronger. Swaybars do flex and people have this idea about the chromoly spohns shattering, but personally, if I didn't already have the 36/24mm GM combo I would have gone with the spohns. Might make the suspension a bit stiffer then most would like, but seems like the best swaybar combo on the market for our cars.
But then figure cost, spohn's is still $285, and reading about the poly bushings, endlinks, heat formed chromoly is is probably well worth the cost. My cost for the 36/24 swaybars alone was $70 and they aren't too hard to find. Figure then I did the spohn polybushings and endlinks (which I looked would probably be about $90 shipped now.) Add in $3 for rustoleum and some sandpaper and for about $165 the average joe gets some nice, though just a tad stiff imo, swaybars.
If you can sacrifice the ride quality for handling and have the cash go for it.

I've been autocrossing with Spohn's sway bars for over a year now and if I haven't broken them I dought anyone else will. The 34mm/25mm bars may a big improvement with the stock springs.
