Attention: Any G.m. Techs Or Parts People

Hey Guys,

It's been a few years since I've been on this board and I have a question for any of the GM technicians on this board. My questions isn't related to my IROC, I have an annoying problem with my 2002 Alero. The front brake calipers make a terrible creaking noise when applied, I had the calipers replaced last fall by G.M., but the noise has re-occurred. I was told by the dealership up here in Canada G.M. in the U.S. has a lubricant to correct the problem which is used on the piston rubber boot but it has not been approved in Canada as yet. Does anybody know what lubricant has been approved by G.M., where can I buy it and what is the procedure for using the lubricant on the piston boot?

Thanks,

Gary

Pm me with a little more info. I'll see if I can look it up, and so we can keep it off the boards...
