i never did anything to my suspension other then ws6 sways so i assumed the rest was stock. anyway acouple day ago my strut put a hole in my wheel well (not a spot or rust, metal just pulled out) so i have my car in the shop now getting it fixed. but today i found out that i have performance springs and performance shocks and i was just wondering if these shocks are anygood and is it because they are so stiff the resion it put a hole in my car. want to know if i should keep them or not/are they good? the shocks are KYB gas-a-just.

oh and another thing i had the rear driverside shock out for 2 day and i drove a bit real slow could that have caused the spring to get to weak, to the point were i would have to replace it/them?? or am i good?

 

Those are good enough struts and shocks. Now are the ones on your car any good, i don't know for sure. Did you or the mechanic test them? How does it ride?

Now let me get this last part, you drove around with out the shock or struts connected.

 

those kyb's are decent budget performancs shocks/struts... if they're in good working order and your ride is still firm, then you should be good... if they're worn out and you feel that your car "floats" (when you go over a bump and the car bounces up and down a couple of times as if it were on water) or if you go over a speed bump and the car droops down and bottoms out, then your shocks/struts are dead and you should get new ones
