sway bar links

i picked up spme replacemnt sway bar links, i followed the book at pep boys they are energy suspension good quality. The question i have is that my old ones are 1/4 inch shorter than the new ones, this is the metal piece that goes in the middle, does this lenght make a diffrence i bet it does.. how do i know which is right?

old ones measure 2 1/4 new ones are 2 5/8. i am installing eibach por kit springs whish are smaler springs so i may have to change these to something diffrent anyway.

it says on the box sway bar should be parallel with control arm.

You should use the same length unless you have a modified supension. When intalled the swaybar lever arms should be level with the ground. Get the length that makes them so.

Lowered car = shorter endlink spacer. It will be hard to tell without having the springs in and the wheels on the ground. Basically, take the endlinks off, put the car on the ground, hold the swaybar level and measure how big the spacer is going to be. Then cut the spacer. Install and enjoy. Serves 1.
