i remeber with my old 86 z it was not that good. no i am thinking about buying a 82-83 ta. can i use a 4th gen steering box in it?

 

most likely as well as one from a 1st gen or 2nd gen

 

i would not want to go backwards i had a 77 z and we wont even talk about steering in that

 

4th gens use rack and pinions

 

slowTA for whatever reason on my 90 mile drive in to work this morning i got to thinking about this thread and figured out i really screwed up by not putting alot of thought into it before i answered. at least i've neve claimed to be anything more than a dumbass so i'm keeping up to that standard.
