Spring ID Help

I was under the impression that v6 springs would help my car get off the line. So I went to the junk yard and picked up a pair of supposed v6 springs. Somebody told me they were progressive. On the left is the "V6" spring, the right is a stock WS6 that was on my car when i bought it. Any help?

okay, the progressive springs would be bad for weight transfer because they get stiffer as they compress, right? or does it not matter because theyre so much softer? does anybody have a v6 car they can look at the springs and see if theyre progressive?
