went for my emissions test and while on the rollers found out that my rear brakes have some issues. We had a hard time holding the rear tires from turning on the rollers. When i got it home i tried adjusting them but no help. When i pulled the drums I saw the shoes had fine cracks all over them and were shiny. Is this what they call glazed shoes???? And would this be enough to cause the problem mentioned above?

 

Yep, that would cause it. Change the shoes and either replace the drums or at least get them cut, to rough 'em up a bit

update: also found the master cylinder leaking pretty bad. going to change it out this weekend

 

Leaking brakes is bad...........kinda like leaking arteries......
