What size tires with 18"s

I'm playing with the idea of either 17s or 18s for my car. I know what sizes will work with 17s to maintain proper sidewall height but what about for the 18s? I'm looking at either 8" or 9" wide up front and 9" or 10" out back. With all the "G machine" cars in the mags lately I'm at least going 17 but I'm thinking 18s would look good as well.

The correct sidewall would depend on the width of the tire, which depends on the width of the wheel. I recommend finding one of those wheel/tire calculators. Plug in the info for a stock wheel/tire combo, then play with different 17 and 18 inch tire sizes until you find one that has the width you want and the closest overall dimensions to stock. Its almost impossible to have an exact match, so just go with whatever setup is closest. I'm running 245/40/18 and 275/35/18.

I'm going with stock C5 Corvette sizes 245/45-17 front and 275/40-18 rear.

on 18's if possible id go with a 275/35-18 on the fronts and 315/30-18s out back The keep with 1% of stock ratio

18"s? Crap mike...that ought to look good with the Sportlines. Ive been considering 17"s and C5s lately..

It'll be a while before I do the wheels,at least after Christmas. Yeah Ed, with all the cars I've been seeing in the mags lately with 18s,especially older F bodies I think it would look killer. Maybe some TT2s with the grey or full polish centers or something from GroupA (ROH). I'm not ruling out 17s though.
