Adjustable preload on strut tower braces and wonderbars....

Is there any benefit to doing this? I understand the reasoning and dynamics as to why you want a strong STB and wonder bar, but how would adjusting the preload help at all? I assume that it would be adjusted with the weight of the car at ride height. Let's say that you install the preload adjustable STB on the car, and then decide to adjust it. How do you measure/know how much preload you need/want? Thanks for any input on this. Paul Moore
