The KDW 2 is NOT a drag radial. I've heard great things about both of the BFG tires. I only run BFG's, they seem to wear the best and get really good traction. As far as the choice between the 2, I am probably going to get the KDW 2 for my car. They both get really good ratings, and I am pretty sure they wear about the same. I like the look of the tread of the KDW 2 thats why I chose them over the KDW.

Just don't get the KDWS tires. Traction in those SUCKS, even in winter which they are supposed to be rated for as well.

I'd rather have gone with the KD's or KDW's cause the KDWS don't provide any useable traction in the winter.

I've been running the KDW and I am very pleased with them. From what I was told the new style tread isn't available in all sizes and I don't really like the new tread design either.

I think I'm going to get the Fuzions. I think it's a highly advanced design for less than $100 each (255 40 17). I think they are a great deal.

You can't get the KDW2 tread on a 275.40.17 tire. Not sure about the 16" sizes. I wasn't going to buy them if they came with that uglyass tread, I think that's just for the imports. Go with the KDW, you won't be dissapointed.

I dont think you can choose which tread pattern you want for the KDW. Each size just comes as one or the other. I have them in 245/50ZR16 which is the traditional tread. So far I really like them, great handling and feel, and predictable at the limits.

here is a pdf with the available sizes and tread patterns -> http://www.bfgoodrichtires.com/asset...rce_ta_kdw.pdf

According to it, 245/45ZR18 comes with the new tread (KDW 2).

BFG stopped making g-force KDW tires. (at least this is what they saID AT discount tire). You can only get KDW-S.

I had G-force KDW tires on and got a flat....went to disco tire to get a new one and they looked at every store all over the country and could not find any left in stock.

I saw and read that both of the tires are the same. The only difference is that the KDW2 is a new thread pattern. I have the first ones but if I had to purchase new ones, I would go with the second ones for the reason that the first ones might soon be discontinued. As far as I know, KDW2 doesn't exsist, it is just KDW with the choice of two different thread patterns. www.bfgoodrichtires.com
