Can you run rears all around?

I was wondering if on my 90 Formula if I could run half inch spacers and four rear tires all around. I know the wheels say rear only and front only on the inside, but I figure that is for the spacers not the actual wheel. Is there any problem with running four rear wheels and tires all round with the correct spacers so there is no rubbing?

Yes you can. A few guys with the new style brake kits up front can run all rear wheels since the kits add .300"-.600" to each side, therefore getting rid of the offset of the wheel.

You have to run longer wheel studs though. ARP sells 12mm X 2 1/2"long aftermarket studs that have a .509 knurl and will pull right in with no drilling. They are much safer also with running wheel spacers because those studs have 190,000 tensile strength.

I ran IROC rears on the front of my car for years with just a 1/4" spacer so the rim would clear the iron caliper- but even with 1/4" spacers I needed longer studs for safety because the lugnuts just were not threading onto enough stud.

I still run 4 rears now but I have a totally custom front and rear Wilwood brake setups with 1/2"X2.970 .568 knurl studs.

I prefer to run 4 fronts. no modifications required and gives the car a nice stance.

Like Zepher said, you can run 4 fronts and not have to change anything else. But without spacers of some fashion, the factory offset rear wheels rub when put on the front of the car.
