Its connected to my swaybar. Its broken. but what the hell is it?!?!?

Hi everyone, my car is a black 82 t/a thats really really stiff. Practically every suspension component on the car has been heavily upgraded, and to my leisurely delight, by the previous owner. My problem however is this: the rear swaybar has a threaded rod on each end that I assume had previously played a crucial role in the mechanisms main function of keeping the car flat. These rods, however, seem to have broken in half between where they go through the swaybar and where they connect to the rest of the car. I dont know A. What they are called B. how to get a hold of a new pair or C. If I am going to have to buy myself a whole new setup....Any info would be of great help, critical or non, I really want to get my machine out this summer and do some autocrossing!

Those are swaybar endlinks, and they do play a crucial role in keeping the car flat. You should be able to get replacements anywhere, either with stock rubber bushings or much better urethane ones.

yeah definitely get the polyeurathane ones....from energy suspension....they make a big difference ...and they were only like 18 dollars a set of 2 at oriellys ....they are called swaybar end links i think ....also get the mounts that are attached to the axle since those are probably rubber and worn too...replace those with energy suspension

Thanks guys, live and learn i guess.. I did find a sticker for energy suspension on the underside of the hood but i'll replace both sets of bushings anyway. I think the car saw at least one or two seasons of hard driving, and at 13-18 bucks a whack why not?!
Thanks again!
