Adjustable Panhard Bar????
Adjustable Panhard Bar????
First off i thought it had something to do w/ my front brakes. But when i hit the track i cant seem to do a proper burnout for my Drag Radials. As of now the vehicle has a T-5 tranny so when i dump the clutch and hold the brakes the rear dances and goes towards the left. I installed a 4th gen rearend and have anadjustable Lakewood Panhard bar. Could it be that the panhard bar isnt adjusted correctly? Any ideas would be great. thanks.

Is that 4thgen axle a posi? and you sure its working properly?
Does the car role any when you burn? Maybe one of the breaks is locking to much, or not enough.
Can always adjust bar a little bit and try it.

Idea 1
Did you center the rear end with the panrard bar?
You do this by dropping a plumb bob from the rear wheel opening to the cwnter of the wheel in the same spot on both sides.
Measure from the vertical string to the wheel rim and make sure you have the same distance on both sides.
if not adjust the bar to move the rear right to left etc.
Keep checking.
Idea 2
Are your rear control arms both running at the same angle?
The right rear side of the car should want to squat down more because of the axle torque. If both the lower conrol arms are running parallel to the ground When the rear squats the LCA will become shorter. If the right side gets shorter than the left the car will rear steer to the left.
You may want to check the LCA with an Angle Finger at rest and have some one observe it the right side is squating more when you do you burn outs.
