Drilling hubs for 5x5 wheels?

Has anyone ever done this? I seriously thinking a set of 17x8.5 impala SS wheels. I could get a billit adapter, but that would space them out too far. Can the hubs be drilled for 5x5 wheels fairly easy?

Engine: vee eight
Transmission: auto
Axle/Gears: 4.10 gears
i drilled chrysler axle'x from an 8 3/4 rear end so that i can use my chevy/pontiac bolt patten . So it can be done. but i dont know if it could be done on 10bolt axles as i have never tried to .
