Wheel alignment need help asap.

I'm in my shop at school right now and I'm trying to do a wheel alignment. I already know that the passenger front wheel has a bit of a toe out to it and it's causing the car to pull to the right.

Here's my question: Can I accurately adjust the alignent with the car jacked up or does there have to be weight over the front wheels? Would ramps work?

Thanks in advance for the quick replies.

For a proper alignment the car needs to be on a flat level area. No jacks or anything of that sort. Can even weight the drivers seat to your weight. As you are in the shop check to see if they have any turntables. Place them under the front tires along with spacers (wood planks or such) under the rear tires of the same thickness.

Turntables make all the difference in the world.

Ok thanks for the help. I was forced to put the thing onto shallow ramps because the 4 post hoist was broken.

I got it a bit closer, but the tool I was suing wasnt in great shape. I guess I'll have to take it to the dealership some time and get them to fine tune it...

In a pinch, 2 linoleum tiles with grease in between them make some pretty decent turn plates.
