I have a stock set of 91-92 Z28 wheels but the rear rims are bent (they wobble on the balencing machine), is their any fixing that or are they even worth getting fixed (have some curb rash and scratchs)? The tires on these rims are also only about a year old with is another reason I would consider keeping them.
Yesturday I picked up a set of 15*7 american racing rims with new tires on them for $100, given they're cheap tires the loss in traction is huge and I want it back.
The other day I say a camaro with the outlaw II rims on it and it looked nice. The only problem is they don't make a 16in outlaw II rim with a 4.75 bolt batter, I have to go with 15*7, 15*8, or 15*10.
I'm somwhat confused as to how backspacing works and what is required on out cars. The 15*10 says offset -38 and backside 4. And the 15*8 is -19 and 3 3/4. Will either of these fit?
Would handling be sacrificed running a 10in out back and an 8 in up front?
What if anything is the advantage in handling of a 16, 17, or 18 inch rim over a 15 inch?
Has anyone ever powdercoated the 91-92 z28 wheels black? If so how did it look?
