16" wheel help

My black TA has been lowered and has the factory black wheels on it. I have 255/50/16s on the rear and 245/50/16s on the front. This car has a cage, real good 406, moser 12 bolt, ram air hood, etc.. I want to put a good looking set of wheels on it. I just bought these tires so I'm leaning toward going back with 16". What do I need to know as far as bolt pattern, back spacing etc..? If I did go with 17"s, what tire would I use to keep the same height as what I have now. It sits real good like it is, it just needs a good set of aluminum wheels on it. Jimmy jddani@aol.com

Those rims are aluminum and are actually lighter than most other rims you'll look at putting on them (unless you go with something like a Centerline drag rim). If you're going to go with a different rim, get something at least 9" wide, so don't bother keeping the tires you have now if you're really set on new wheels.

I'm not really worried about the weight. I want the best looking wheel I can get. I use this car very little. It's a show/cruise-in/friday night drag type car. If a 17x9 is going to look the best, that's what I want to put on. I still need back spacing, bolt circle and offset to order them. Any suggestions on a good looking wheel?? jddani@aol.com

Really you had to start a new topic asking the same question? Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so "good looking" by someone else's definition may be horrid in comparison to yours. I find this the case a LOT with rims. I'm not a big fan of drag rims or flashy rims at all. Not that my opinion matters here, just showing how everyone likes something different..
