Upgrade the torque arm to a spohn or global west set up. Get some good LCAs. I recommend delrin bushings or like global wests del-a-lum products. Check out the chart on bushings on the globalwest.NET (not com) website. Poly is extremely stiff, but if you will not drive it far you can live with it on the street. I would get LCA relocaters and make sure to re-renforce the existing control arm bracket to the axel tube; they are a known weak link.

Sounds like you will at very least need a roll bar. Find a shop to do that and the frame ties. Either buy ones like spohns or have them make them if they prefer, but triangulate the frame like spohn does. If you intend to go faster, maybe look into a full cage. It will only help the rigidity of your t-top uni-bodied car. I had an additional diagonal brace added to opposite corners of the top loop.

I got mine done a long time ago before people started taking interest in third gens, so I went ***** out with a ladder bar set-up that required so much more work like a fuel cell then you should have to do in this day and age.

Just don't go beating on it until it is tied up good. Do the bar the the connectors and LCA brackets and re-renforcement before everything else. Run the stock LCAs and TA until you get the $$. If you do, get a poly trans mount right away.
