I have an 85 Iroc with holly 600cfm and maroso 14 inch air cleaner. Does anyone know if their is somekind of brace out thier for me . I am not opposed to getting a smaller diamiter air cleaner to make it work.I have seen the K&N air cleaner that look's a resperator mask with the 2 filter's on each side for hot rod's or I gess hood clearance . This things expensive , and I do not know if this will eaven make the newer type TPI brace work. I would like to keep the stock hood so please keep this i mind with your reply .

 

The Edelbrock STB made for TBI cars should work. I have seen it done before, but I've heard that there can be a problem with installing it in the earlier 3rd gens with the AC compressor on the driver's side.

 

Thanks benm109 you reminded it has A/C on drivers side . Do you what the problem,s are? .Or anyone else

 

I have an 84 and the only problem I had was the edelbrock brace needed spacers it would not clear the strut mounts on top of the strut towers and the ac compressor will not clear my care has no ac so I cut out 2 6mm shims and bolted it down if you can weld you can modify it

 

This is the TBI bar yes & I gess you mentioned hood clearance issues . Thanks for the info. Did a serch thank you for reply's
