ReBuilding FrontEnd.
Hey,
I Just recentley got a job at olympic brakes(parts warehouse)
and i have horrible suspension set up.. the owners b4 me never greased the suspension. My Question to you is that since i get all the parts at wholesale price, what do i need to do? Ball joints?Tie Rods? z28 steering box? what would really help me rebuild the front end? I have the DropZone springs and Monore sensatrack struts.
Thanks.

Yes, lol, you should do ball joints, a- arm bushings, tie rod ends ( if needed), sway bar end links, springs, and struts. That should just about take care of the entire front end.

the A arm bushings are gonna be a kick in the pants if you dont have acess to a torch or a press. torch the bushings and after tehy get hot enough they can be pushed out and the sleeve can be crushed up. a press to put them in but ya need something to support the open side of the arm as it will crush when your putting the bushing in if you dont.
i would HIGHLY recommend you take them off and have a shop do the bushings and ball joints. its wrth the money.
as for parts, i would replace everything all at once. no need in here and there replacing stuff as it goes out. that can be a PITA and will cause you to spend much cash on an alignment each time.
as for the parts them selves, get MOOG hard parts and energy suspinsion bushings. DO NOT get one of the PST kits as i had one and it dosent come with everything. my ball joints didnt fair well as did one of my tie rod ends. tie rod dropped out on me one night and yes i keep everything well greased and maintained.
you will need struts, A arm bushings, sway bar bushings inner and outer tie rods W/ sleeves, center link and idler arm. have your strut plates inspected also. its the black thing the top of the strut lives in when you open your hood. it has a bearing in it and can wear out .
as for a steering box , buying a used one can be a good thing or bad. if you get one off a low mile or well maintained one you could be ok, or you could get one thats sloppy. check yours first and make sure its ok first before spending the cash.
