POT Joint replacement and part number???

The POT Joint, as the GM service manual calls it, which is part of the upper intermediate steering shaft on my car has a torn boot. Since I am doing a full suspension rebuild and brake upgrade now is a good time to replace it. Has anyone replaced this joint? Can you even buy a replacement anymore? Below is a picture of mine and you can see the problem with it.

Need to replace the entire intermediate shaft. Pricey at GM, easily available at recycle yards. Can also build one from Astro Van parts. Long thread on how to do it.
