suspension bushings?
1) what is a good complete set of bushings to replace all the bushings on my cars suspension? a daily driver, but driven fairly agressivly.
2) what about steering do you replace just bushings or the whole steering bars? i just replaced my ilder arm as it was wobbly
3) how hard is it to replace the suspensions bushings? what special tools are needed? average home mechanic do it?

1) Urethane is best for peormance and comfort combined, just grease the heck out of them all over before you install them and torque the bolts in place after the car back on the ground and the suspension loaded
2) Replace the tierods (you have 2 inners, and 2 outers) and the centerlink also if they are old and sloppy
3) Front control arm bushings and balljoints might as well be "considered' (this is my time frame opinion) impossible without a press to push the new ones in properly withour damage to the a-arm.
Easy to get the old ones out using a drill gun drilling out the old rubber then burning the rest of it out, then you simply knock the remaining sleeves out with a hammer. Trying to use a vise and or a hammer getting the new ones in can and generally will bend the bushing ears of the A-arm.

so its just the front a-arms that need the bushings pressed in? i could probaly just take the a-arms and bushings to a shop to get installed then come back home and install the arms then right?
Yes. You'll probably savemoney removing the bushings yourself though like I suggested. Balljoints should be carefully pressed out and then new ones carefully pressed back in to avoid elongating the pressfit holes often caused by hammering on them.

for balljoints
you can rent a press from auto zone for free+$100 deposite,it should take about 2 hours a side if you have done it before.
i did my balljoints in my driveway 1 week after i had surgery!!
its easy once you figure out the press.
