Por 15 and New Moog Steering Parts?
I know that Por 15 does not bond that well to painted surfaces. For those who have used Por 15 on there Moog (or any new steering parts) did you have to grind down to bare metal? The only reason I am asking is the paint or oil they put on there does not seem very thick and wanted to know it the Por 15 could go right over it.
Thanks

I ended up using brake cleaner and a wire wheel. Worked pretty well.

Just use a strong degreaser… most used full strength will strip most protective coatings including light paint…
