spohn TQ arm and sportlines = major rubbing?

SO I just finished installing my Spohn adjustable TQ arm onto my 12 bolt. I also have a T-56. So I put it in with the car jacked up. I had to disassemble it a bit, to be able to work it onto the rear. Anyways. I got it on and was shecking for clearance. Right in the middle of the car twords the front of the TQ arm, it is hitting the floor HARD. Everything is bolted up and even if I adjust things, this will not solve the rubbing problem.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Pretty sure I have to go back to stock style springs.

BFH fixed my floor board. If you talk to them about it, it was designed to be on a stock car, not a modified one.

So yes, if its lowered, you have to BFH the floor board a bit. Mine was under the back seat area, so it didnt bother me to much.

Hmm. . . . aftermarket parts designed for a stock car? Someone needs to take a BFH to that ridiculous logic. At least design parts that will work with probably the oldest, most popular way to lower our cars, lol.

But yea, Dale has it right, tweak the floor panels.

Good idea... not..

Once you get into that relm of buliding specfic stuff for x car, it will not work on y car. Even though it is the same frame, all cars are different in that aspect.

True. I have allready sliced up the rear area for the mounting of the bracket to the 12 bolt. Now this....ugh..... I better fire up the compressor and start cutting. I REALLY want to have the car lowered and still use these big strong parts. I guess something has got to give.....(floorboards) at least the interior is allready out and there are SFC and a 6 point in it. Just sux that I have more work to to. Oh well, **** happens.

Not sure where yours is hitting, but mine is back by the axle. That C thing that goes on the housing is hitting the tunnel.

I just jacked it up, and about 10 hits with a 5lb hammer and she was done. No cutting needed. I'm at 1.75 drop in the rear with some oem replacement shocks.

I notched back there. Took me an hour. Gave it a ton of new room. But yeah, a hammer would have worked for me too.

Honestly I just had an idea pop in my head. it was really dark under the car last night and now that I think if it, maybe I installed the arm up side down. That would make it hit. I took it appart to put the C part on the housing, then I re-bolted the long arm part the the C part. Maybe when I put it back, I did so upside down. Oh well, can't do much to check till I get home tonight.

All fixed. I just put a part in wrong. It is in there correctly now=no rubbing. Now too bad I still need to change springs so that I can fit a big exhaust under there. Damn theses sexy hooker headers. haha. Oh well, maybe oval tubing and just dealing with scraping the collectors will work.....hmmmm.
