Front Suspension Problems......
Me and my stepdad recently rebuilt the front suspension on my 1991 Firebird V6. Upon getting it back on the ground without the sway bar attached it sat at a decent height, I didn't think to measure it.
We installed our new sway bar which we recieved from Hawk's, and when trying to install the endlinks, they were too long, so we shaved them down to what we determined to be the length of the stock ones (all we had were pieces to go by). Upon getting these in place, we lowered the car off the jack, and it sat rediculously high. The ride heigth, when measured from the top of my inflated tire to bottom of the fender was 7 inches. Well, I aired up my not so inflated tire this evening and drove around the block a few times, and it settled a little lower, but it doesn't appear to be at stock ride heigth.
I go into more detail HERE about my woes, and I even have a pic of the sad sight. I decided to go ahead and repost my topic in a more appropriate forum, to maybe got some more info regarding what is wrong, if anything, with my font suspension. The only thing incorrect in the previous thread is that we did not replace the springs as I thought we had. Which, I believe, sheds a whole new light on this problem.
Please help me before I tear my hair out!!!

if it is not sitting the same as it did when you took it apart and you used the same springs the spring is not in the pocket correctly.
Up top the spring has to be in the cup. the isolator needs to be taped on the top of the spring.
the bottom of the spring needs to have the lip of the sprong between the two holes that are farthest away from the ball joints.
If the car is setting properly without the sway bar. and it looks crazy with it send it back to hawks.
