Wheels-Tires???
Guys, does any one have a recommendation on tire size and back spacing on the rear wheels?
I am purchasing a set of Weld Drag-Lites, 15" ofcorse, but I want to fill up the fenderwell as much as possible, without rubbing. I am not going to lower the car, cause I think its low enough. The guys at the tire shop said a 245/60/15 is as wide as I can go with a 1989 Camaro RS. Is thier a way I can work with the back spacing on the rims, or a wider set to achieve the max width tire??? What size is recommended in Tire sizes and Wheel widths, with the back spacing. All suggestions are considered and appreciated, also as I have read back a few pagesand lots of people ask about spacers. Is this something I need to consider, cause I have never used spacers on any of my Cars, and I have had a 1st, 2nd, and 3 different 3rd generations.!!!

I have 235/60-15's on the factory 5 spokes all the way around on my '83 Z28.She's all stock as far as ride height. This size is within a 1/10 of an inch or so of the stock 215/65-15's.You could probably go 255/60's,or even 265/60's,in the back on stock offset rims with out a problem. On the front 235/60's are probably the limit and not have interference problems at full lock either way.
But then tire diameters vary between companies even for the same size tires. It's not a uniform like you would think.

Yeah I was wanting to run a 225 on the front, and a 255 on the rear, to give it a noticable difference in the stance. I want people to notice the back is about 2 inches wider than the front, but still want it wide on the front to keep the driving stability.
I really need to find out how much backspacing I need on the rims , before I order them, to make this possible. I have seen several cars posted around the site with the stance I am looking for, I guess I will need to pm the guys to try and find out from them on the backspacing.
