Tire size help for 18s

After a couple days of endless reading and searching I think I came up with an idea of sizes that I want to use. The rims that I purchased will need 1.75-2" adapters (most likely 2"). They are 18x9.5 fronts and 18x10.5 rears. I am looking at getting 275/35/18 for the front and 295/35/18 in the rear. I am not worried about the possibility of some massaging to get them to fit but after reading a lot of Zepher's posts it looks possible. Anyone have any other ideas before I start purchasing tires?

Thanks

They both sound good to me. The rear will be a little bit taller than stock but I wouldnt go any smaller than a 35 series tire for a street car (its already pushing it). I think what will make or break fitment/contact/rubbing is the ride height. How low do you plan to lower the car?

1.5 or so. I am still debating the suspension. I am looking at the dropped spindle group purchase but am leaning towards putting it on air. Do you think 40 series would be safer?

I just purchased a set of Hoosier r3s04 drag radials that I will play around with for now. I know it won't last long but once I get this car running I will want to burn those off. They are 275/35/18s by the way.

Anyone have any things to say about the bridgestone potenzas or bfg t/a kds?
