BMR K Member and Spohn A Arms ????
Ok well im going to be installing a 468 in my 89 GTa and am looking at buying an aftermarket k member to lose some weight on the front end and gain some clearance for the big block. I thought spohn made one but i cant find one on the website so i was looking at a BMR one w/ integrated motor mounts for like 600 after you iclude the 90 $ spring perches. However BMR says you cant use stock A arms w/ the k member so ill need to get some tubular upper control arms. I always like to go w/ spohn if possible for suspension equipment since i like their products construction on the parts ive ordered and eveyone here seems to love em. Can i use the spohn upper control arms w/ the BMR k member w/o modifications?, i also have spohn sub frame connectors on the car. I also have another question about the BMR k member, one of theoptions is to have pinto manual steering rack mounts put on it. For my BBC i will be switching over to an s-10 manual steering box which isnt the pinto one of course, but do i need these mounts for the s-10 box swap or is it unneccessary?
\Thanks for the advice beforehand

Why not use the BMR A-Arms?
I have the BMR K-member and BMR A-Arms along with there Coil Over conversion.
I could not beleave how beefy the A-Arms were.

well it looks like i will be now, bu the BMR a arms are like 50$ which is no big deal ive just read so many posts that say spohn is the king and i already have spohn parts. nothing against BMR im just noit as well acquained w/ them. Either way now ill be getting BMR k member and a arms, and im glad to hear that they are beefy but no coil over setup for me. how bout the steering rack for a pinto, do i need it or not for an s10 manual steering box. It really doesnt make sense to me unless people take old ford pinto steering boxes and use them on their chevys and its real popular or what the hell does pinto manual rack mounts mean?

You can still use the factory power steering, or go with the S10 manual box (I'm doing this). The "Pinto" racks you see today are based on the same design as Ford used on there Pinto's

Bringing this back from the dead here... does anyone have a BMR k-member and can tell us why the stock a-arms will not fit? I'd like to see a picture of the stock a-arm next to the BMR k-member if possible.
