The build sheet for my 1992 GTA (LB9, 700R4, T-tops, J42 rear) shows 1993# Front and 1426# Rear.
blyth18md, is the second sheet shown in your original post called a build sheet also? I have a sheet like the first one and then I have a sheet like hwcoll95 posted too.

I guess build sheet style/layout could have changed over the years, or was different plant to plant? Or maybe what he posted was just a sheet for a certain section/ stage in the production line? Just a few possibilities.

OK I did some number adding and subtracting using the weight i had for my car after i did my fiberglass pannels and other weight saving tools and I came up with 2982. I have a 1982 Z/28 with a 71chevelle 350 4 bolt main and a 84 T-5. The car has the factory fiberglass hood as well as fiberglass fenders and decklid, I have yet to do my doors, there is also no padding under the carpet or on the firewall. and aluminum heads im sure make a weight difference also. the closest I could figure is the front end being significantly lighter because of the fenders and heads alone, as for where the weight transfer of the carpet insulation would fall who knows. The problem with that number is I do not know how much heavier the high nickle block 350 is or how much lighter the aluminum heads and intake would be. Dead stock my car would of been 3296 because it was the LG4/200c combo as you have listed. I don't know if this is what your looking for at all but I figured I would post anyway....

F and I never said the car was stock That was the actual weight of the car.
Orignally it was a 305 auto car. When I got it, it was half assed 5 speed swap (the guy had the bright idea to put all the mechanical linkage stuff in it. Awesome cause I set the clutch where I wanted, but pita to keep up since it was hobbled together) Then when I blew up the second T5 and clutch, I went to a T56.. Blew the clutch up in, replaced that rebuilt the trans, then had two bearings nuke themself cause I forgot to put a plastic spacer in there. Fixed that, then blew the clutch again. So now it is a auto. lol
Fuxx manuals. lol

Has anyone found the build sheets in a '92? I've had the front seats out, the rear seats out, the upper rear carpet out, the drivers side door panel out, and have yet to find anything. It is a Canadian built car, did they put the build sheets in them?

I found the build sheets for my '89 and '91 inside the cars when I test drove them, I took them out before the prep people cleaned the car for delivery. My '87 Convertible built at Norwood I bought used and never found the build sheet in it. and I had the whole interior out of it. Chris

Not entirely sure how accurate this scale was, but I drove to a place that sold landscaping rock (weighed the customers' vehicles before & after loading), & got an actual weight there. With my (roughly) 200 lb. carcass in the car, it came in at 3750.
(And I've been shaving weight off the car ever since!)

Are all fluids installed except fuel for shipping? It seems there must be something else that is not in the car during shipping because the weights do not match up. The shipping weight plus the weight of a full tank of fuel do not quite add up to the curb weight of the car.
