I've got an '89 RS Camaro--160,000 miles. I've recently replaced the struts, and upper strut mounts. I can feel something loose under my feet on the floorboard when I go over bumps. I took it to an alignment place and they said my struts needed to be tightened (two days after I replaced them), but everything else seemed tight. They tightened them, but I can still hear it.
I have also noticed that when i turn the wheel all the way in one direction (in parking lot) the car starts to hop really bad--sounds like something is rubbing but doesn't look like it (stock size tires). I makes a popping noise too.
Finally, I've been noticing what sounds like brake grinding from the front driver side. It doesn't happen all the time, and the pads are good--rotors nice. Could this be related?
Alignment seems fine too.
any ideas anyone??

The loose thing sounds like the transmission mount.
These cars always act funky going around a corner with the wheels cut hard to one side. Nothing unusual there. Feels like they're skipping from side to side or something. It's because the 2 wheels don't get turned the same amount by the steering under those conditions. It's especially noticeable when backing up.

I replaced the transmission mount less than a year ago, but I guess I'll check again. Think it could be a wheel bearing maybe?

I wouldn't say its the tranny mount.. From a dead stop, get on the gas, if you dont hear a thud, it isnt your tranny mount.
I would check and make sure your rims are in the correct location (depending on set of rims). As on my car two rims say front and two say rear. The rear rims have deeper backspacing, therefore bringing the rim closer. If I put my rear rims in the front the tierods would rub the inside of the rim when taking a sharp turn.
This sounds more like your problem. Just my
.
Also check your idler arm, I seem to be going through these things like GAS!
