Squeaky Shock

I just recently installed brand new KYB GR2's and an Eibach Sportline kit on all four corners. The right rear was visually sitting a good bit lower than the rest of the car. I thought maybe the spring wasn't in there right or the insulator on the top or maybe it just needed to settle? It has evened up a bit but its still lower.

And now all of a sudden the shock on that corner is squeaking like hell! I sprayed some WD40 on it and it stopped it a little bit. But still squeaky none the less. Is their a different kind of oil I should put on this puppy or is this a faulty shock? I thought new shocks were supposed to be pre oiled and oil themselves during use?

did you install the bushing at the shock tower correctly? Maybe they need to be tightened down some.

Yea its definately not the bushing on the top, I can hear it coming directly from the shock and I sprayed some wd40 on it and it immediately quited down a little bit. Still sqeaks though and that corner is still sagging as it has since installation.

What I need to know though is if this a bum shock or if I just need some oil on it? If its shot I need to try to exchange it or get a new one if possible. If its just oil I'll put some oil on there..

shocks are not supposed to be lubricated. If it is sagging and seems to be getting worse sounds like you have an internal failure in the shock. no matter how much oil you spray on that shock is it going to make it even with the rest of the car or at least the other rear corner.

lol i realize oil wont make the shock even up, at first I was thinking maybe the rubber pad on top of the spring had got in the wrong spot during the install and that was causing the uneveness. But I checked the spring and now the shock is squeaking so I guess that is what is responcible for the uneven ride height. Just wanted a second opinion before I start raising hell with my supplier for the shock.
