anyone know anything about Tokico springs?

last year i bought a set of 4 tokico springs and shocks "hp's" i was wondering about spring rate.... i defenately noticed a big difference when i replaced the original springs with the tokicos.

But now i'm wondering if eibach springs are better. it seams like i'm the only person in the whole world thats ever used tokico springs, everone else has eibach springs and tokico shocks. theyre definately stiffer than the stock springs, but not too stiff.

Does anyone have anything to add on this subject? i just really want to know if i might benefit from swapping out the tokico springs for an eibach pro kit. ..........all thoughts/ ideas are welcome here.. thanks Scott

on a similiar matter..... My car has a butt load of oversteer.....even withought the 24mm rear bar installed.

when i bought the car it was all stock "base camaro" it handled good.... the tires that were on it when i bought it "3- 4 years ago" were 215/65/r15 on the front and 235/65 r15 and it handled fine.

months later when it needed new "2" new rear tires i went to "americas tire" and they said that they didn't make that tire size anymore, but they had some 225/60 r15 that he said would make the car handle much better anyway, so they installed them. so then i had 215/65 r 15 up in front and 225/60 r15 on back. so he gives me back my keys and i drive off.

it was probaly 1/8- 1/4 of a mile when i realized something wasn't right. the car was all over the road, i would barely move the steering wheel and the car would pull acrossed 2 lanes with the rear startimg to break loose at. i thought they had broken some suspension components in the rear, so i go back and describe the problem to them and the guy says it sounds like you got too much oversteer. he said the new tires they installed had thicker sidewalls than the other tires and that might causing the problem. so he swapped the tires front to back,

he switched the new ones to the front and the old ones to the rear. and the car drove and handled better, but still not 1/2 as good as it did when i had the fat tires on back and skinny tires on front. it seems like most people recommend putting the same size tire on all 4 corners. But if i don't have much taller rear tires on the back than front its horrible

before this car i had a 91 rs "completly stock"
with the same motor and trans. the only difference was that the 91 had 16" X 8" rims with four 245/50 r16 tires it handled 10000000X better than my 88 does now, with new suspension, now.

i totalled the 91 rs taking a 35mph turn at 60mph, i've since then taken that same turn in my 88 with suspension mods, at 70mph no problem. the 88 corners great but it handles like a bathtub

even now with the 36mm bar up front 19mm in back 225/60/r15 in front, 235/60 r16 in back with tha air presures at 36 front and the rear at 30 the car has way tooo much oversteer

my modded 88 corners 10X better than the 91 did, but the 91 could weave through traffic safely 10X better. with the 15 year old worn bushings/ springs/ shocks. i've drivin several other camaros, and they all handle much better than my 88. why does this car have so much oversteer????????

Best bet is to contact the manufacturer and ask them. But be sure you know who the manufacturer is, sometimes when you buy "packages" on E-bay the seller will mix match the brand names. As for the oversteer thing, I think its your tire setup. The rear tires are almost an inch and a half taller than the fronts. Tire height front/rear does affect the balance of the car.

So When I go and get new tires, this time around would it probaly be a good idea to put a bit taller tire in back to help correct the oversteer. about the miss matched package thing the package came frome tokico. its deffinately all tokico i was just wondering if eiback springs were better than tokico springs. THANKS for the help -Scott

I wouldn't go to eibach's to try and fix your problem just yet, I have a similar problem with the pro-kit, haven't figured it out yet.
